GRIGORIS GIANNOPOULOS

Water Polo Player at ANOG and member of the National Team of Greece

From a young age he has taken part into many sports and activities such as football, basketball, track and field, traditional dancing, theatre, voleyball and he passed many years of his life as a scout. In the age of 13 he fell in love with the sport of water polo so he had to adandoned most of what he did in his everyday lifestyle so he could be focused there.

In the age of 15 he won his first medal with the National Team of Greece in a tournament with teams from all over the world. 2 years later he participated in the first European games under 17 in Baku where him and his team (N.T. of Greece) managed to win the bronze medal with an astonishing game against Croatia and a win with 11-10 score.

Now, in 2017, he leaded his local team to win the championship in Greece for under 19 with an amazing performance against PAOK from Thessaloniki in the final.

He also managed to conquer the bronze medal in the first division with the men’s team, winning, again, PAOK and finishing first in the final classification behind Olympiakos and NO Vouliagmeni. Besides sports, he now studies in the Department of Management Science and Technology in the University of Economics in Athens. He speaks English, Spanish and Greek, having 2 degrees for the first two languages.
